Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 28, Day 5 with In The Pink, Designs by Cathryn

Good Morning!!!  Welcome to my last day as a Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer.  I have enjoyed myself more than I can express!  Thank you to PKS and their Design Team ladies for such a warm welcome and support!  AND thank you to all the followers who have left me such sweet comments.  I appreciate you all!!Ok on to my project!
I used a tin that I filled with yummy cookies as color inspiration for this gift tag. I used some patterned paper to stamp Mitsy Sue and added a little more color with some copics and pastels. I cut the image out and placed it on top of the same image I stamped on white paper. That was I didn't have to cut out the tail, flower and stem!  The attahced "gem" is a Tim Holtz Facet which is available in the PKS store.  I love these because the back is flat and it is easy to add a picture or sentiment to it!

Throwback Thursday Challenge with My Creative Time

This week's challenge at My Creative Time is to use ANY OLDER Cartridge of your choice!  It should be a Christmas project and  you must ALSO incorporate MATERIAL.  For example you could include:  lace, fabric, felt, or any type of material you have on hand!

The random winner picked for this challenge will get Emma's "All Around Christmas" Stamp Set which the entire Design Team is showcasing today!

I decided to make a shaped card using the oven mitt for a "mitten" on the "From My Kitchen" cartridge.   For my "material" portion of the challenge I used Emma's Scallop die (from the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die Set) to make a flower.  I cut 5 scallops from cotton material, layered them together, punched a hole in the middle (with my Crop-a-dile), attached a brad and glued a 1" cardstock circle on the back.

Materials:
My Creative Time Scallop Die
My Creative Time "All Around Christmas" Stamp Set
From My Kitchen Cricut Cartridge and Gypsy
Pink Polka Dot Material  -  Joanns
Jolly by Golly Collection, Smitten Mitten - Cosmo Cricket
Hibiscus Burst Cardstock - PTI
Boa  -  Creatology
Idea-ology Tiny Attacher
Memento Rosebud and Black Tuxedo Inks
Copic Markers
Crystal Stickles
Brad

Thank you for stopping by again today!  I appreciate all the wonderful comments my followers have left me!  Please head over to My Creative Time and see what Emma and the Design Team have for you!  Enjoy your day!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #16 - Fun With Folds

Good morning and welcome to Whimsical Wednesday Challenge 16 - Fun With Folds.
The challenge this time is to create a card that is anything but a shape or A2 style.  Examples: easel, gatefold, waterfall.
I chose to do a gatefold birthday card.  I picked up a Martha Stewart paper pad at Joanns this weekend on clearance.  I don't know why it was on clearance I had never seen it before.  It has some gorgeous coordinating paper including some holographic sheets.  I love this pad and suggest it for anyone in need of birthday prints!

I cut my cardstock at 8" wide by 6" high, scored it at 2" and 6" and then attached my scallop to the left side only with Zip Dry glue.  I love this glue because it drys so very fast and any that gets on the edges wipes right off!

 Materials:
Cricut Cartridge Once Upon a Princess and Gypsy for cupcake cut at 2.75"
Wow So Many Candles stamp set  -  My Creative Time
Hawaiian Shores, Lemon Tart and Lavendar Moon Cardstock  -  Papertrey Ink
Festive Paper Pad  -  Martha Stewart
Oval and Scallop Nestabilities
Worn Lipstick and Broken China Distress Inks
Crystal Stickles
White Gel Pen
Zip Dry Paper Glue

Please go over to the Whimsical Wednesday blog to see the rest of the Design Team's Creations.  We would love for you to link up your projects and join us for this challenge!!
Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I am so lucky to have my "computer" friends!

Cathryn :)

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 28, Day 2 with In The Pink, Tuesday Sketch Challenge

Hello my friends!  Today is my second day as Guest Designer for PKS.  I am so excited to participate with the fabulous ladies of the Design Team in the Tuesday Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge!   This time the CHALLENGE is to create a card with the Sketch AND Color Combo pictured below.  Your Design must be new and you must enter by 8/8/11.  Peachy Keen Stamps are not required to participate, but it's always great to see what you create with them if you have them already!

Here is my take on the Challenge.  I embossed the background of this card using the  Daisy stamps from another one of my favorite sets, Easter Patch.   This set has an awesome bunny, some grass and daisies.  It is a holiday set but I can use these stamps all year round.   I LOVE daisies.  They are beautiful, resilient and they can flourish just about anywhere!  Who wouldn't admire those qualities!

For the flowers I used the daisy cut from the new Cricut Projects Cartridge Flower Shoppe.  I spritzed them with some glimmer mist and added some stickles to the middle.  Then I used hot glue to attach them to the cardstock.

Materials:
PK-286 Easter Patch  -  Peachy Keen Stamps
This & That stamp set  -  My Creative Time
Blueberry Sky, Berry Sorbet and Spring Moss Cardstock  -  Papertrey Ink
Versamark Watermark Stamp pad
A La Mode Sparkle Embossing Powder
Memento Black Tuxedo Ink  -  Peachy Keen Stamps
Lime Ice Stickles
Irock and Gems
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl
Broken China and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink

This week I am giving away PK-640 Princess Face Assortment!  In order to be entered for a chance to win you must leave a comment on the Peachy Keen blog under all of my posts this week and on MY BLOG under each of the Peachy Keen posts for the week. My Creative Time's July Stamp Release Blog Hop!

Good Morning!  Welcome to My Creative Time's July Release Blog Hop!  If you have arrived here from Leanne's blog you are on the right track.  You finally get to see all 4 new set in their entirety!  Today I am showcasing All Around Halloween.  I decided to do some Halloween gifts.  My children's School doesn't allow candy so I did my "treats" using Crayon boxes.  This is perfect timing since the stores have them out for less than $1 per box right now!  This idea will also be great with the All Around Christmas stamp set also!

This is how the backs look.

Materials:
Crayola 24 count Crayon Boxes
Papertrey Ink Cardstock -  New Leaf, Orange Zest & Plum Pudding
Orange and Green Felt
Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch
All Ribbon is Celebrations from Michaels
Scor Pal & Tonic Distress Tool
Copic Markers
Dimentionals
Dusty Concord, Spiced Marmalade & Peeled Pain Distress Inks
Black diamond, Purple, Orange Peel, Crystal, Silver & Waterfall Stickles

I started out with the background strip of paper cut at 2 7/8"" by 8 1/2".  The patterned paper measured 3" by 8 1/2" BEFORE using the border punch.  I adhered the 2 papers together then wrapped them around the crayon box creasing the corners.  Then I put the paper on the Scor pal and scored where I creased the corners. (I do this so I don't have to measure where to score for box).  Then I adhered the paper to the box and decorated.

***GIVEWAY ALERT***

For my giveway today, I am giving away the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die which coordinates with the All Around Halloween stamp set! To win the dies All you have to do is leave a comment here AND a way for me to contact you! You have "11" chances to win! All you have to do is leave a comment on ALL blogs in this hop! EASY PEASY!!! GOOD LUCK!:)

Here is the Bloghop line up:
