Note Pads - My Creative Time December Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the December Release Blog Hop for My Creative Time!!!  You should have arrived here from Cassandra's Blog.  If not you can start at the beginning here!

Today I made two note pads using a few of the new sets.

The first one I made out of chip board and a 3x3 post it pad.  I learned how to make this from the Peachy Keen Stamps booth at CHA in 2010.  This design can also make a beautiful 3x3 card if you don't like to do 3D projects.  I used my glue gun to attach the bow and gem so it would stay on securely with heavy use.

I made the bow with some cream color seam binding ribbon that I tinted with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

My second project was an already existing pad that I altered.  It has a magnetic flap that keeps the cover folded over.  Emma's die fit on the front perfectly!!!  Altering a pad is such a great way to make a little gift very quickly!  The receipients are always so happy to get something useful that has been decorated just for them.

Christmas Mitten - Day 12 of The Twelve Days of Christmas with My Creative Time

Today is the final day of the Twelve Days of Christmas with MCT.
You can see all 12 days here!  Congratulations to Emma and the entire DT for the fabulous job they have done the past two weeks, take a bow!!!

I sewed a mitten out of some sparkly felt for today's project.  I drew a pattern on a piece of card stock and then cut 2 out of felt.  Used twine to sew the pieces together, then I used hot glue to attach the fur and hanging loop.  Inside is a rock candy lollipop I got on our trip to Disney and one a "candy stick" eraser.  Can you tell my favorite things right now are Teeny Tags Layering Dies and faux fur, hehehe!

This year's Christmas Card - Day 9 of The Twelve Days of Christmas with My Creative Time

Good Morning my friends.  Welcome to Day 9 of the 12 Days of Christmas.  Emma and the design team have some more fabulous ideas and inspiration for you here!
Today my project is my Christmas Card for the year.  I made a very simple card so it was easy to mass produce.  I used two sentiments from My Creative Time,  "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" (from From our Family to Yours stamp set)  and "Merry Christmas" (from Gift Card Sentiments stamp set).
The wreath is cut from a die I got a while ago.  I bet everyone has some of those supplies they HAD to have and then never used!  A similar wreath could be made with some leaf ribbon.

List of Supplies:
From our Family to Yours and Gift Card Sentiments Stamp Sets  -  My Creative Time
Hemp  -  Liz's Paper Loft Boutique
Scarlet Jewel and Fine Linen Card Stock, Scarlet Jewel Ink  -  Papertrey Ink
Lace  -  Recollections
Burgundy Stickles
Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Thank you for visiting me!  I appreciate all my followers and your wonderful comments!  Have a great day!
Love and Hugs,
Cathryn :)

Classmate Eraser Gift - Day 5 of The Twelve Days of Christmas with My Creative Time

Hello my friends!
It is day 5 of the 12 Days of Christmas at MCT.  Today I have a project I am doing for my children to give their classmates.  We are not aloud to send in any kind of food for holidays or birthdays so when I saw these cute candy shaped erasers I was thrilled.  They are even peppermint scented!

I used the Vintage Stitched Label Dies and Vintage Label Stamp Set to make the holder.

I cut out two labels and made slits in the back of one to slip the eraser through. Then I put glue on the edges and pressed them together.

The ornament stamp is from the Noel on From Our Home To Yours Stamp Set.  I masked the rest of the stamp with scotch tape.

Other Fabulous Supplies I Used:
Twisty Stix Scented Erasers and Metal Bells  -  Michaels
Holly Day Wishes 6x6 Paper Pad  -  Recollections
This and that Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad -  Echo Park
Ripe Avocado Card Stock  -  Papertrey Ink
Festive Berries and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks
Lady Bug, Rich Cocoa and Tuedo Black Inks  -  Memento
Red Gems
Black Enamel and Glossy Accents

Cocoa Mug Card with Money Holder Tag Insert - The Twelve Days of Christmas, Day 1 with My Creative Time

Welcome to Day 1 of The Twelve Days of Christmas with MCT!  Today is the first day of 2 weeks of wonderful Holiday projects!  We hope we are able to inspire you with some of our holiday projects and ideas.
Today I made a mug shaped card.  The shape I traced from a template I found at the Scrapbook Expo a few months ago.  I did a few modifications to make a slip in pocket to hold a tag with "cash" attached.
I used the XL and XL Stitched Label dies and the Lowercase Fun dies to put on the front of the mug.  I cut the letters out of PTI coasters first, then I cut paper and covered the coasters.

The "whipped cream" on top of the hot chocolate is actually the cloud die from the Fly Away with Me dies.  The bottom half is a tag I made using Just Tags dies.  The stocking I paper pieced is from Warm Holiday Fun stamp set. I put Diamond Dust on the cloud to look like sugar.

The twenty is attached to the back of the slip in tag with a small glue dot.  I used my glue gun to attach the bow and button securely.

Supplies I Used:
This and That Christmas  -  Echo Park
Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate and Fine Linen Card Stock,
Coaster  -  Papertrey Ink
Seam Binding Ribbon  -  Liz's Paper Loft Boutique
Button  -  Vintage Trinkets, Maya Road
Festive Berries, Peeled Paint and Tea Dye Distress Inks
Glossy Accents and Diamond Dust
Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder
