"Scrappy Monday Layout" challenge with My Creative Time

Welcome to My Creative Time's "Scrappy Monday Layout" challenge!  The challenge this time is to create any size layout of your choice using only ONE picture & incorporate buttons onto your layout!
I made an 8x8 layout using a picture of my daughter Isabel from 2 summers ago.  I'm pretty behind on my scrapping.  I used to scrap every picture but I don't have enough time anymore.  So I decided a few favorite pictures scrapped is better than none!

The My Creative Time products I used this time are:
Fun Pockets stamp set

Other Supplies I Used:
Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge
Heidi Grace Paper
Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint Distress Inks
Glam Pink Stickles
Hawaiian Shores Buttons  - Papertrey Ink
Brown Hemp  -  Liz's Paper Boutique
Jolees Crystals
Blossom Twine  -  The Twinery

Magnetic Picture Frame and Thank You Notes

Good Morning!  Today I have an 8x10" Magnetic Picture "frame" I made for my Niece's Bridal Shower a few weeks ago.  She got married in Las Vegas this past weekend.  Congratulations to Katie and Tom!!!
I first saw this done on my friend Liz's blog in a 5x7" size.  I made this one larger so more than 1 small picture or one large picture would fit easily.  I had to use a roll of Roofing Flashing which my hubby cut for me.  The small roofing tiles the home improvement stores had were all aluminum, not magnetic.  Before I decorated the board I but Memory Foil tape along all four edges so they were no longer sharp. Then I attached the paper and embellishments.  The magnets were black and white.  I used some Vintage Photo Distress Ink on them to make them match the board.

Supplies I Used:
Roofing Flashing cut to 8x10"
Memory Foil Tape  -  Ranger
Blossomwood 12x12 Paper Pad  -  K&Company
Vintage Cream and Dark Chocolate Card Stock  -  Papertrey Ink
Dark Walnut and Vintage Photo Distress Inks

I also made some Thank You notes for her to use.

Additional Supplies:
Opaque Embossing Powder, Snow
Irock and gems
Scallop Border Punch  -  Fiskars
Celebrate It Ribbon  -  Michaels
Leaf Punch  -  Martha Stewart

I hope you enjoyed today's post.  I appreciate all my followers and the comments they leave for me!  Enjoy your day!

Love and Hugs,
Cathryn

My Creative Time's May Release Blog Hop

Welcome to My Creative Time's May Release Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from Cassandra's Blog.  If not you can start at the beginning of the hop here.

I am showcasing the "Here's Lookin at you" set.  I did something a little different with the ties.  When I was looking at a few extra pieces laying on my table I thought the ties looked like flower petals.  So here's my project for today, I hope you enjoy it!

I used the CAD Corner Chomper-Cloud on the corners to give it a "shaped" card effect.

I cut out 12 ties in assorted papers and punched a hole at the top of each one.  Then I took a brad and loaded them all on, spacing them evenly.  Then I put some foam tape on the back of each "petal" and placed the flower onto the card.  I secured the scallop to the middle with pop dots.

List of Supplies:
Here's Looking at You stamp set and Stitched Circle and Scallop dies  -  My Creative Time
Fine and Dandy Girl 6x6 pad  -  My Mind's Eye
Berry Sorbet and Vintage Cream Card Stock  -  Papertrey Ink
Crop-a-Dial and Crop-a-Dial Corner Chomper, Cloud
Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Shabby shutters Distress Inks
Brad, Crystal Stickles
Foam Tape and Pop Dots

Here's Lookin' At You

My CreativeTime May Stamp Release: "Fun Pockets!" & "Tag Dies" - Overalls Card

I hope you have been enjoying the MCT release so far.  Today we are making projects with "Fun Pockets" and the pocket dies.
When I was a child overall pockets were some of my favorite places to stash things.  That gave me the inspiration for this card. (Plus I finally got my Gypsy back from Provocraft, yipee!)
I used one of the overall cuts from Paper Dolls for Everyday.  They were sized at 18.75".  I flipped one over, welded and placed them so the bottoms were off the mat.

Supplies I Used:
"Fun Pockets" stamp set and dies and Tag dies  -  My Creative Time
Hello Summer 6x6 pad  -  Echo Park
Spring Mix Buttons  -  Papertrey Ink
Lace on a Roll  Yellow Stickles
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Black Gel Pen
Yellow Hemp  -  Liz's Paper Boutique

This wouldn't be a party w/o GIVEAWAYS!

Cork Board ,Birthday Tag and Push Pins

Hello friends!!!  Today is 3-D Wednesday at My Creative Time.  The challenge for the design team today to make a Birthday Themed 3-D Project.
I decorated a plain cork board, made some push pins and a Birthday Tag.  I used Emma's new Rolled Flower die and the "Floral Sentiments" stamp set for these projects.

First I painted the leaves on with enamel acrylic paint.  You could just hot glue fabric or paper leaves to the board also.  Then I attached the flowers (some felt, some fabric and some card stock), pearl sprays and ribbon using hot glue.

I also rolled some flowers out of plain circle cut outs.

I made the push pins by winding the die cut fabric around a map pin and securing it with some hot glue.

List of Supplies:
Rolled Flower dies and Floral Sentiments stamp set  -  My Creative Time
Cork Board
Folk Art Enamel Acrylic Paint in Wicker White and Thicket
Hibiscus Burst Felt  -  Papertrey Ink
Raspberry Fizz Card stock  -  Papertrey Ink
Girlfriends paper  -   TPC Studio
Polka Dot Fabric  -  Joann
Pearls and Pearl tulle sprays  -  Michaels
Fiskars Border Punch
Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks
Crop-a-Dial and Eyelets  -  We R Memory Keepers
Hot Glue Gun, White Gel Pen

That's it for me today.  Please jump over to My Creative Time to see the projects everyone else has made and have a fabulous day!
Love and Hugs,
Cathryn
