Tag It! - Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Hello and welcome to the next Whimsical Wednesday Challenge.  Todays challenge is to make a tag and include some kind of Bling on it!  I LOVE bling so this was a slam dunk for me.  Usually all my projects have a little stickles, gems or some king of sparkly element!

I made a bunch of these tags as favors for my daughters Sweet Sixteen party that is coming up next month.  It was a bit expensive to buy all of the purple flowers that I needed so I found an alternative.  In the bridal isle of Michaels there were white flowers that came in 12 packs.  I inked them a little and then sprayed them with Glimmer Mist.  In that isle they also had bunches of small flowers on picks that I pulled apart and added to each tag.  I sponged some platinum ink on the leaves to tone them down a little bit.  For my bling I added some Diamond Dust on a few of the flowers.




Materials:
Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge for Hearts - Scallopped Heart cut at 4.5", Plain Heart Cut at 5.15"
Plum Pudding Cardstock  - PTI
Patterned Paper from my Scraps
Prima Flowers and Leaves
Modern Romance Floral Picks (from Bridal Isle)
Timeless Lilac Glimmer Mist
                                                  Dusty Concord Distress Ink
Assorted Flower Picks
Leaf Pins - Maya Road
Ribbon - Martha Stewart
Brilliance Platinum Ink

    These tags are absolutely gorgeous! I hope these girls appreciate the work you put into them. Oh, I am just blown away by them. They have such a great style to them and I love what you did to make the flowers. That was a great idea to go to the bridal section of Michaels to get flowers. Actually, it was a fantastic idea, because your flowers here can not be beat by anything else. Love these tags!!

    Oh my... these are just so beautiful! I love the color, the flowers with all the details and that shape too! Very clever to check out the bridal department and make them your own! I bet your daughter is going to love them and her friends! There is no way you have a child going to be 16! NO way! Great job!

    My oh my Cathryn this tag turned out stunning. It is a true visual delight. I adore the flowers and the look of sugar crystals. The color scheme is fantastic! Soft yet alluring! One of my past tips on my crafting tip of the week segment was encouraging crafters to go to the flower & wedding sections of our local craft, department & fabric stores. Great minds think alike! Truly a thing of beauty!
