Halloween Bookmark and Pencil Card - Halloween Hustle Day 2 with My Creative Time

Hello, Welcome to Day 2 of the Halloween Hustle over at My Creative Time!
My project today is a bookmark and pencil card set that my kids will be giving their classmates next week.

For the base of the card I used the 3 x 4 Stitched Journal die.  On the back I used the tag from Stitched Round Tab, Arrow and tag die set.  I punched two 1/2" circles to slip the pencil through and then attached it to the back of the card.  The sentiment on the back of the bookmark is from My Teacher Rocks stamp set.  The Happy Halloween is from Fright Night stamp set.

The corner bookmark I made from a 4 x 4 square of paper.  The teeth are cut from one of the monsters on the Bump in the Night Cricut Cartridge.  I got the inspiration from an email I received from a dollar store.  Unfortunately the link no longer works so I will give you my own version below.

Ok here we go (hehehe).
I started with a 4x4 piece of patterned paper.  (Double sided is best because then you don't have to add the extra square inside.)  Score at 2" vertically and horizontally.
Next
remove one of the 2" squares.

Now, cut the two top squares in half diagonally resulting in the shape below.

If your paper is not double sided here is where you can add more pattern to the inside of the "mouth"

I added another 1 3/4" square inside the mouth to give some contrast of color.

Next attach the fangs to the back of one of the triangle flaps.  I used my Gypsy to cut just the fangs from one of the monsters on Bump in the Night Cricut Cart.    In the original tutorial they just hand cut some fangs to make it quick and easy.

Fold one triangle down, add some glue and adhere the second triangle flap down.  Be sure not to glue the triangles down to the bottom square.

Finally you attach your eyes.  I used The Uglies stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps to paper piece some eyes.  You could also glue on some googly eyes instead.

Supply List:
The Uglies stamp set PK-694  -  Peachy Keen Stamps
Bump in the Night Cricut Cartridge
Halloween Parade 6 x 6 paper pad  -  Doodlebug Designs Inc
1/2" circle punch
Glossy Accents (for eyes and teeth)
Hocus Pocus Vintage Tinsel Ribbon  -  Pink Paislee
