Whimsical Wednesday - A Birthday Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge!  It is the First Wednesday of the month so we have a scrapbooking challenge for you!  The challenge is to make a birthday layout including some kind of embossing.  I chose a photo of my little Isabel at age 4 (almost 5!) at a Birthday Celebration for Summer Birthdays when she was in preschool.  One of the activities that day was to make a Birthday Crown.  I think she did a fabulous job!!!

Cricut Carts -  Wedding Solutions for the crown
                        Create-a-Critter fro the balloons
Elegant Edges for the background tag
Journaling Stamp - My Journaling stamp set - My Creative Time
Carstock - Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz and Lavendar Moon - Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper - Glitter Stack - DCWV
Nestabilities Oval Die
Archival Brilliance Ink Pad in Perlescent Orchid
Pink Sorbet Twine - The Twinery
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing folder
Flower from Recollections
White Gel Pen

This weeks challenge prize is a bundle of Shabby Crinkle Ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique.  Go on over to the Whimsical Wednesday blog to get all the challenge details and see the fabulous projects from the rest of our design team.

Have a wonderful day!  Happy Creating!
Love and Hugs, Cathryn :)

Hello Cathryn, this layout is just precious. I really like the monochromatic pink color scheme with the touches of white. The crowns are always fab but your embossing accents the balloons quite well. The background shape where you lovely daughter's photo is mounted is super unique and gives this layout another added dimension. Just wonderful!!
Crafty best wishes,

What a wonderful layout!! Your darling little princess is really made the star of this layout, with just the right amount of elements and none of them overpowering the most important part, her! Love your crown!

Very cute layout! And Isabel is beautiful too! :) If I can EVER get caught up on making cards, I need to get Carley's pictures in layouts! She has so many faces and expressions that I could do layouts for each one!
