Show Me Your Technique with My Creative Time - School Pencils

Hello!  Today is "Show Me Your Technique" Tuesday with My Creative Time.  Two other MCT Designers, Cassandra and Amy, are also participating today.  You should have arrived here from Cassandra's Blog.  

Today I will show you how to make some cute pencils using Emma's All Around and My Teacher Rocks Stamp Sets.  The paper and choice of image can be altered to fit just about any occasion.  Since my children start school again in September I decided to do a school theme.

 

1.  First you need 2 Scallop circle die cuts, 1 stitched oval die cut, 1 Stitched Circle die cut and of course, a pencil.

 

2.  Put terrifically tacky tape or score tape on the back of your Stitched Oval die.

 3.  Place your pencil on the tape and close it over evenly.



4.   Put more tacky tape on BOTH sides of the stitched oval die.

 

 



 5.  Pull the film off the tape on both sides of the oval die cut, attach a scallop to one side, add glue and then the other scallop.

 

 6.  Now you are ready to add the stitched circle with your stamped image and...

TaDa  you are done with your pencil.

Bi-Monthy Challenge with My Creative Time - Pinterest Inspired Project

Hello!  Today is the start of a new Bi-Monthly Challenge over at My Creative Time.  The challenge comes from Emma herself.  She challenged us to make a project inspired by something we saw on Pinterest.  We don't want to copy someone's idea completely,  just use it as inspiration and take it from there!

I was inspired by an invitation I saw to "Sprinkle" a mom with gifts for her new baby.  These are a new twist on a Baby Shower for someone having a second or subsequent child.  Look here to see where I drew my inspiration!

 

I made some favors out of some Mini Dip bowls and spoons.  I also turned a cheese shaker into a "Sprinkler".

My Creative Time Sneak Peek #4 of August Release - A Quick 3x3 Card

Hello my friends!  Today I'm doing a quick 3x3 card I made with 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold card that Emma is releasing on Friday at 12:01am.  There is also a coordinating Envelope die that is available separately.    On Friday you can see all of the new releases here.

I cut the Christmas Tree branch by hand.  The ornament dies and stamps and also the sentiment are from another new set "Warm Holiday Fun".

My Creative Time August Release Sneak Peek #3 - Picture Wall Hanging and Ornaments

Good Morning!  Today is Sneak Peek #3 of My Creative Time's August Release.  We are showing you some of "Just Simply Live".  This set is MY favorite of the August release.  The die gives you endless possibilities for your photos and small stamps and dies.

For my first project I made a wall hanging using the dies included in this set and the fancy frame die also.  I used coasters from Papertrey Ink for all the die cuts.  It was difficult for me to photograph the entire hanging so I gave you a few pics of the pieces first.

This set is perfect for making ornaments for the tree too!  I put two frames back to back so there is a picture on both sides of the ornament.
