Beary Special Blog Hop - My Sweet "Honey" Bear Treat

Even though its not quite Halloween, Emma has decided to give you all a "Beary Special Treat"! This doesn't cause weight gain but will cause CUTENESS OVERLOAD! Included in this hop, you will see a "Beary Special" stamp set that was designed by Emma for this special hop! Also, joining us for this hop are 5 VERY TALENTED "Guest Designers"!

For my project I made a little treat holder for some honey sticks.  I figured what goes better with bears than honey!!!  My kids all LOVE honey sticks.  I am going to slip these in there lunch boxes for a little surprise!

 

I used the XL Label die for the base of the treat holder and for the little "pocket" on the back I used the "Just Tags" stitched die and folded it over to look like an envelope!  I glued only the sides down so I could slip a honey stick or two through it.

Googly Eyes Card and Tag - Designers Challenge at My Creative Time

Good Morning All!  Today is a new Designers Challenge on the My Creative Time blog.  This  is posted every other week and it is picked by one of the MCT designers.

This week's Challenge is given by Tracy and it is to do any project with googly eyes!  What fun, especially with Halloween coming up next month!

 

I did two projects for today!  The first one is a tag using MCT products  Tag dies, Just Tags and Just Simply Live.

 

 

 

 

My next project is a card using Treats For My Sweet stamp set and Teeny Tag Greetings die and stamp set.

Sweet Broom Sticks! - My Creative Time September Mini Release Blog Hop

Good Morning!  Welcome to the MCT release blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Cassandra's Blog.  If not, you can start at the beginning here.

Emma has released 3 sets today.   "All Around Goodies",  "Just for you" and  "Just Tags"! 

I have used parts of all the sets on my "broom sticks".  I love these because the children can rip the bottom open to get at the treats!

 

 

Here is how I made these brooms:

 

 First I took a kraft bag (3 1/2" x 2" x 6 3/4")  and cut it into 2 pieces with pinking shears.

 

I

I put my treats inside the bottom part of the bag and "crunched it up and taped it around the pencil.

 

 Next I cut strips from the bottom edge up a little more than half way.  I also cut strips about 1" down from the top, being sure to leave sufficient uncut space in the middle to keep the paper from falling apart.

 

Then wound the "fringe" piece around the bag containing the treat and secured it with a piece of hemp.  I used my bone folder to curl the pieces under a bit.   Lastly I decorated them brooms with the new MCT Releases!!!

MCT September Mini Release Sneak Peek #2 - Christmas Tree Card

Welcome to day Two of My Creative Time's Sneak peeks for September. This month MCT is having 2 days of sneak peaks with a  "Mini" release this Friday!  Today, we will be showing you some of "Just for you" & "Just Tags"!

I used the beautiful Christmas Tree Sentiment stamp from "Just for You" and the Tag dies from "Just Tags".

 

I used the Elegant Edges Cartridge and my Gypsy to put this shaped card together.  The shape is actually from the "Book" tab on the cartridge.  I turned them and welded 2 together to make the card.

Halloween Party Favor - 3D Wednesday

 

Good Morning and welcome to a new 3D Wednesday.   Today the My Creative Time Designers are making a 3-D Project for a Baby Shower, Wedding Shower or Theme Party FAVOR.  I decided to do a Halloween Party favor.  All the fall decorations and products are hitting the stores now and I felt inspired!

I used Emma's 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold Card die  for the backing of the candy bar and "Treats for My Sweet" stamp set for the BOO.

Scrapping the Little Things - Summer Smash Book Pages

It is Scrap the Little Things over at My Creative Time today.  I have put together a Smash Book page with some pictures of my children from this summer.  It has been a hot one so we have a bunch of "water" pictures.

 

That's my project for today.  I enjoyed making it, hope you enjoyed looking.
