Throwback Thursday Challenge with My Creative Time - Font Cartridges

Good morning! Today is a new Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time.  This challenge is to use a FONT Cartridge and not a regular Cartridge.  You can feel free to use any of the fonts OR images on the "FONT" cartridges. 

I decided to use one of the fonts on the Storybook Cartridge.  This was a nice challenge to do.  I do not use my fonts carts enough and it took me out of my comfort zone.

Today I am using Emma's stamp set Whimsical Calendar Days and the XL Die.  I have loved having these as new editions to my crafting collection. They are so elegant and lovely.  I have barely scratched the surface of what I can try out with these!   They are available for purchase here.

Happy Fall Treat Bag

Good morning.  For my project today I used a little burlap bag that had some flower seeds inside.  I got it at the dollar spot in Target at the beginning of the summer.  I thought the bag was so cute so I threw it in a drawer and TADA  now I have a new use for it!  I made a treat bag.

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge - Fall Colors

Good Morning.  Today is the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge - Fall Colors.  The challenge is to make a card/project with fall colors AND include a handmade embellishment of some kind.   This week Creative Inspiration Paints will be our sponsor. One random winner will get to pick out five colors of their gorgeous paint.

I made a birthday card for my Mom.  My kids call her Marmar instead of Grandma.  It's just the way they said it when they were babies and it stuck!  My handmade embellishment is a little flower I made out of hem tape to match the ribbon I also put on the card.

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #22 - "Scrapping School Memories"

Cupcake Treats

Good morning, Happy Friday!  I am looking forward to a relaxing holiday weekend with ELECTRICITY, yeah!!!  My power was out 5 days this week due to hurricanne Irene.  Thank goodness we had no major damage just inconvience.  Today I have some calorie free cupcake treats for you.  I found these cute ornaments in the frame section of Michaels (they were actually supposed to be photo holders but they are not heavy enough to stand up with a pic in them).  I added a ribbon hanger and thought I would package them up as "low fat" (hehe) goody bags.

I used My Creative Time's "All Around Halloween" stamp set and the "Scallop and Stitched Circle Die" which you can purchase here.  I will be using the little cupcake stamp all year round!

Throwback Thursday Challenge with My Creative Time

Hi and welcome to another Throwback Thursday Challenge!  First of all I want to give a warm welcome to our newest design team member Liz from Liz's Paper Loft!!!  We are so lucky to have this talented lady join the Design Team!!!
This week Emma has set up a "Cricutless Challenge".  You can make any project of your choice but include the colors Purple, Green, Orange and Black. 
The My Creative Time Design Team are all using Emma's "All Around Halloween" stamp set today.   I also used the "Scallop and Stitched Circle Die", the "Embossed Gift Card Holder" and the "My Journaling" Stamp set.  You can purchase them all HERE.

Here is my take on the challenge.

 I used the Gift Card die to cut some felt and stitched it onto the card as a pocket.  Then I used the die again to cut some paper for a tag fit in the pocket.  I purchased a pack of felt sheets at the dollar store (3 pieces each of 4 colors).  The felt is opaque but very thin.  It was a breeze to cut with the die but still substantial enough to be sturdy.  Sometimes I find some real GEMS hiding in Dollar Tree! :) 

 I cut the Scallop twice for a layered look.  The gems are actually from the T-shirt section of Michaels.  They are brand named "Tulip" and seem to have a better variety of colors than the IRock gems.  Sometimes I also hit the jewelry section and look for Jolee's heat gems if I cannot find the color I want.

I also used MCT's "My Journaling" stamp set for the tag inside the felt pocket.
