Hi Friends!
My project today is a long skinny gift box that measures 6 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 3/4". It will fit an Andes Snap Candy Bar, Candy Sticks or pens. I used the Christmas Season stamp set, Seasonal Labels dies, Christmas Tree dies, Whimsical Tree stamp set and Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.
I Started with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock sized
8 1/4 x 4 1/2".
I scored the 8 1/4" side at:
3/4, 7 and 7 3/4".
I scored the 4 1/2" side at:
1/2, 1 3/4, 2 1/2 and 3 3/4".
To cut and put the box together you can watch my Video Tutorial Here.
Below is my template. Your Cardstock should look like the template after scoring, cutting, rounding the corners of the top flap and punching a finger grip in the back flap with a small hole punch.
I cut a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to
5 1/2 x 4 3/4".
I wound the DSP around the box, with the long side from top to bottom, creasing the paper along each edge.
I folded the creases and burnished them with a Bone Folder.
I put Liquid Glue on the back of the DSP and attached it to the box with equal parts of the box showing at the top and bottom.
I stamped 4 images from the Christmas Season stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock.
I stamped the long skinny leafed image with Evening Evergreen Ink.
I stamped the berry stems with Evening Evergreen Ink.
I stamped the berries with Cherry Cobbler Ink.
I stamped the wider leafed image with Soft Succulent Ink.
I cut all the images out using the Seasonal Labels dies.
I cut the small Christmas Tree from Evening Evergreen Cardstock using the Christmas Tree dies.
I attached the Evening Evergreen leaves first with Liquid Glue.
I attached the Soft Succulent leaves with Mini Dimensionals on the 2 inner leaves and Liquid Glue on the stem.
I attached the berries on top next with Mini Dimensionals and Liquid Glue on the stem.
I attached the mini Christmas Tree last with Mini Dimensionals on the back of the tree.
I stamped the sentiment, from Whimsical Trees stamp set, onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I cut it out by hand with a flag at the end.
I punched a small hole to the left of the sentiment.
I tied some Linen Thread through the hole and tied a bow.
I attached the sentiment to the bottom of the "bouquet" with a Glue Dot, making sure to tack town the Christmas Tree's stem.
For the final touches I added Wink of Stella Glitter to the berries and 3 Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to some of the leaves.
