Hi Friends!
My project today is a Window Box that measures 3 3/4 x 2 x 2". It will hold at least 10 chocolate eggs or many other treats. I used Friends of the Forest stamp set, Rectangle Stitched dies, Layering Circle dies, Delightful Tag Topper Punch and Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper.
I started with a piece of Magenta Madness Cardstock sized
8 1/2 x 7 5/8".
I scored the 8 1/2" side at:
1/2, 2 1/2, 4 1/2 and 6 1/2".
I scored the 7 5/8" side at:
2, 4 1/2 and 6".
To cut the Cardstock you can watch my Video Tutorial Here.
Below is a picture of how your Cardstock should look after scoring and cutting.
Before I put the box together I cut the hole for the Window.
I attached a piece of Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper,
sized 2 1/4 x 1 3/4", to the panel shown below, with Stampin' Seal.
I cut the window with a 1 1/4 x 1 3/4" die from the Rectangle Stitched dies.
I attached a piece of Window Sheet sized 2 1/4 x 1 3/4" to the inside of the box with Glue Dots.
Then I put the box together with Tear and Tape.
I punched the front flap with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.
I attached more pieces of Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper to the box.
(3) more sized 2 1/4 x 1 3/4" for the rest of the sides.
(2) 1 3/4 x 1 1/4" for the inside and back flaps.
(1) 1 3/4 x 1 3/8" for the front flap which I punched one edge with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.
I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue.
I attached 3/8" Velcro Adhesive Dots inside the top flap and the inside front flap.
I put a large Playing with Patterns Resin Dot over the hole from the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.
I tied Just Jade Gingham Ribbon, from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, around the flap and tied a bow at the front.
I stamped the Bunny image, from Friends of the Forest stamp set, onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I colored the image with Stampin' Blends.
Light Smokey Slate for around the Bunny.
Color Lifter for softening the edges of the Light Smokey Slate.
Light Flirty Flamingo for inside the Ears and the Tail.
I fussy cut the Bunny out by hand.
I cut a 1 1/8" circle from Abstract Beauty DSP and a larger scalloped circle from Magenta Madness Cardstock using the Layering Circle dies.
I attached the circles together and the Bunny on top with Liquid Glue.
For the final touch I added 3 Playing with Patterns Resin Dots around the Bunny.
