DRIVING BY GROOVY VAN VALENTINE with SWEET TALK - Stampin' Up!

Hi Friends!

My project today is a Valentine Gift Box that measures  3  x  2 1/4  x  2 1/4".  I used Driving By Saleabration stamp set, Sweet Conversations stamp set, Seasonal Labels dies, Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper and Glittered Organdy Ribbon.  Inside I put a pack of Tic Tacs, a Ring Pop, a Mini Twix and a Hershey Heart.

I started with a piece of Real Red Cardstock sized  10 3/4  x  8 1/2".

I scored the  10 3/4" side at:

2 1/4,  4 1/2,  6 3/4  and  9".

I scored the  8 1/2" side at:

1/2,  2 3/4,  5 3/4  and  8".

I rounded the corners of the side flaps using the Detail Trio Punch.

I cut the front flap using the top of the largest of the Seasonal Labels dies.

Below is a picture of how your Cardstock should look after scoring and cutting.

I attached Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper to the box.

(3)  2 3/4  x  2"  for the top, front and back.

(2)  2 x 2"  for the sides.

I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue.

I attached Velcro Dots inside the front flap and on the front of the body of the box for a closure.

I punched 2 holes in the front flap with a 1/8" hole punch (or 1/4").

I ran White Glittered Organdy Ribbon through the holes and tied a bow at the front.

I stamped the Van from Driving By stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.

I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Conversations stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored the Van with Stampin' Blends:

Light Smokey Slate for the Hub Caps, Bumper and Muffler

Light Pool Party for the Windows, Headlight and Taillight

Light Basic Black for the Tires

Light and Dark Real Red for the Van

I fussy cut the Van and Sentiment out by hand.

I attached the Sentiment to the front of the box with Liquid Glue.

I attached the Van on top with Dimensionals.

For the final touches I added Wink of Stella Glitter to the windows and Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the Sentiment and Van.
