Hi Friends!
My project today is a Valentine Treat Mini Tote that measures 4 1/2 x 3 x 1 1/4". I used Love Cats stamp set, Layering Circle dies, All That dies, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and Black & White Gingham Ribbon.
I started with a piece of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock sized
9 x 5 3/4".
I scored the 9" side at:
1/2, 3 1/2, 4 3/4 and 7 3/4".
I scored the 5 3/4" side at:
1 1/4".
To cut and put the box together you can watch my Video Tutorial Here.
Below is a picture of how your Cardstock should look like after scoring and cutting.
(1) 2 7/8 x 4 3/8" Basic Black Cardstock
(2) 2 3/4 x 4 1/4" Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper
I attached the Basic Black Cardstock and Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper BEFORE putting the box together.
I attached 1 piece the DSP, sized 2 3/4 x 4 1/4", to a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, sized 2 7/8 x 4 3/8", with Liquid Glue.
I punched a 1" circle in the top of the 2 pieces. I laid the pieces on top of the front of the box and made a pencil mark where the circle was punched out. Then I punched the circle into the front part of the tote.
I glued the DSP and Cardstock onto the front of the box, matching up the circles, with Liquid Glue.
I attached a 2nd piece of DSP to the back of the box and then cut the circle in approximately the same spot.
Finally I used Tear & Tape and Liquid Glue to put the Tote together.
I stamped the Cat, from Love Cats stamp set, onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I cut the image out using a 2 3/8" circle die from the Layering Circle dies.
I cut a 2 5/8" scalloped circle from Basic Black Cardstock also using the Layering Circle dies.
I attached the two circles together with Liquid Glue.
I attached the entire piece to the front of the Mini Tote with Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White Cardstock with Sweet Sorbet Ink.
I cut it out using the small oval die from All That dies.
I punched a hole in the beginning of the sentiment with a 1/8" hole punch.
I cut two pieces of Black & White Gingham Ribbon to 15".
I tied them through the holes in the top of the Tote.
I strung the sentiment onto the right side and tied a bow.
I colored the Heart and Nose with Stampin' Blends.
Dark Flirty Flamingo & Light Real Red - Heart
Eyes - Dark Petal Pink
For the final touch I added 3 Sweet Sorbet 2022 - 2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the right side of the image.
