HEY CHUCK ROOSTER PEN GIFT BOX with NESTED ESSENTIALS DIES - Stampin' Up!

Hi Friends!My project today is a Gift Box for a Rooster Pen that measures  1 1/2  x  7 3/4  x  3/4".  I used the Hey Chuck stamp set and dies Bundle, Nested Essentials dies, Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and Tinsel Gems.

I started with a piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock sized

10  x  5"

I scored the  10" side at:

3/4,  8 1/2  and  9 1/4".

I scored the  5" side at:

3/4,  2 1/4,  3  and  4 1/2".

Below is a picture how your Cardstock should look after scoring, cutting and rounding the corners of the top flap.

I attached several pieces of Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper to the box.

(2)  1 1/4  x  5"  Crushed Curry Pattern to the top of the front and back

(2)  1 1/4  x  3"  Lost Lagoon Pattern to the bottom of the front and back

I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Rooster onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.

I colored the image with Stampin' Blends.

Light & Dark Pecan Pie  -  Head, Body and Upper Legs

Dark Real Red  -  Feather on Head, Eyelids and Waddle

Dark Daffodil Delight  -  Beak and Feet

Dark Lost Lagoon and Dark Boho Blue  -  Feathers and part of Wings

Light Smokey Slate  -  to lighten up the Head area

I cut the image out with the Hey Chuck dies.

I cut a 1 7/8  x  2 1/8" Rectangle from Thick Basic White Cardstock using the Nested Essentials dies.

I cut the next sized smaller Rectangle from Lost Lagoon Cardstock.

I cut the small end down to 3/4".

I stamped the sentiment, from Hey Chuck stamp set, onto the Lost Lagoon Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.

I attached the sentiment onto the bottom of the Thick Basic White Cardstock with Liquid Glue.

I cut a Sun from Daffodil Delight Cardstock and a Weathervane from Basic Black Cardstock using the Hey Chuck dies.

I attached the Sun to the bottom of the Rooster's Tail Feathers with Liquid Glue.

I attached the Rooster and Sun onto the Thick Basic White Rectangle with Dimensionals.

I tied Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon around the top of the box, about 1" down from the top of the box, and  tied a bow at the front.

I secured the knot of the bow to the box with a Glue Dot.

I attached the Rooster piece to the box, about 2" from the bottom, with Dimensionals.

I attached the Weathervane to the box, behind the Rectangle, with Liquid Glue.

For the final touch I added 3 Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems to the box.  One on the Weathervane and 2 next to the Rooster.
