Hi Friends!
My project today is a 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 1 1/4" pinch box with a fold over flap. I used the Elephant Parade stamp set, the Elephant dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper and Stampin' Blends.
I started with a piece of Fresh Freesia Cardstock sized
9 1/2 x 6 1/2".
I scored the 9 1/2" side at:
1 1/4, 4 1/2, 5 3/4 and 9".
I scored the 6 1/2" side at:
1 1/4 and 5 1/2".
To cut and put the box together you can watch my Video Tutorial Here.
Below is a picture of how your Cardstock should look after scoring, cutting and rounding the corners of the top flap.
I attached some Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper to the box.
(2) 3 x 4" for the front and back of the box.
(1) 3 x 3/4" for the top flap (round the corners of the bottom long side to match the flap).
I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the Elephant, Mouse and 2 Butterflies, from Elephant Parade stamp set, onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I colored the images with Stampin' Blends.
Light and Dark Smokey Slate for the Elephant and Mouse.
Light Petal Pink for the inside of the Mouse's Ears.
Dark Fresh Freesia for the Butterflies Spots and Body.
Light Daffodil Delight for the outside of the Butterfly.
I cut the images out using the Elephant dies.
I cut 2 of the grass pieces from Parakeet Party Cardstock using the same dies.
I cut a 2 3/8 x 2 3/8" square from Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper using the Stylish Shapes dies.
I attached one of the grass pieces to the left side first with Liquid Glue.
Next I attached the Elephant with Dimensionals.
Then I added the other piece of Grass with a strip of Dimensional on the bottom and Liquid Glue on the tip of the blades of grass.
I attached the Butterflies with Liquid Glue.
I attached the entire square to the front of the box with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the sentiment, from Elephant Parade stamp set, onto a piece of Parakeet Party Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Ink.
I cut the sentiment out using a label from the Stylish Shapes dies.
I attached the Mouse to the end of label with Liquid Glue.
I closed the top of the box with a Mini Binder Clip and tucked the left side of the label under the edge.
For the final touch I made a bow with Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
I attached the bow to the top left side of the square with a Glue Dot.
