Hi Friends!
My project today is a Gift Bag that measures 4 x 3 3/8 x 1 1/2". I used the Clever Cats stamp set, Seasonal Labels dies, Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper, Black Glitter Paper, Banners Pick a Punch and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. This box will fits a bunch of treats and trinkets!
I started with a piece of Basic Black Cardstock sized 10 1/4 x 5 1/2".
I scored the 10 1/4" side at:
1 1/2, 4 7/8, 6 3/8 and 9 3/4".
I scored the 5 1/2" side at:
1 1/2".
To cut and put the box together you can watch my Video Tutorial Here.
Below is a picture of how your Cardstock should look after scoring and cutting.
I used the Seasonal Labels dies to cut 2 handles for the box. I cut the 2 smallest of the same shape dies together from Basic Black Cardstock with the smallest die pushed to the bottom of the largest die.
I glued the bottom half of the die cuts to the inside of the front and back of the box with Liquid Glue.
I attached 4 pieces of Cute Halloween Designer Series paper to the box.
(2) 3 x 3 3/4" for the front and back.
(2) 1 1/4 x 3 3/4" for the sides.
I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue.
I attached a pieces of Cute Halloween Designer Series paper sized 3 x 2 1/4" to a piece of Basic Black Cardstock sized 3 1/4 x 2 1/2" with Liquid Glue.
I attached both pieces to the front of the box with Liquid Glue also.
I stamped the pumpkin outline from Clever Cats stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I stamped the inside of the Pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie Ink. I colored the edges of the pumpkin with a Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend.
I stamped the cat peeking out of the pumpkin with Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the cat's eyes with a Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend. I fussy cu the image out by hand.
I cut a spider web from Black Glitter Paper using the Frightful Tag dies. I put a dab of Liquid Glue in the middle and attached the web to the top left side of the polka dotted DSP.
I attached the pumpkin with cat to the lower right side of the DSP with Dimensionals.
I cut a strip of Granny Apple Green Cardstock to 1/2" high. I cut one end into a point using the Banners Pick a Punch.
I stamped the sentiment from Clever Cats stamp set onto the strip with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I cut the strip down just to the left of the sentiment.
I added the sentiment to the box, on top of the spider web, with Dimensionals.
For the final touch I tied Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the right side of the front handle of the bag.
