Hi Friends!
My project today is a Halloween Treat Box that resembles a match box. The box is 2 pieces and measures 3 5/8 x 2 5/8 x 1 1/4". I used Sweet Little Stockings stamp set, Stockings dies, Clever Cats stamp set, Cutest Halloween stamp set, Rectangle Stitched dies and the Dots Embossing Folder.
I started with the inside of the box. A piece of Old Olive Cardstock sized 6 x 5".
I scored all sides at 1 1/4".
I made the outside of the box with a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock sized 9 x 3 5/8".
I scored only the 9" side at:
1 1/4, 3 7/8, 5 1/8 and 7 3/4".
To cut and put the box together you can watch my Video Tutorial Here.
Below is pictures of what your Cardstock pieces should look like after scoring and cutting.
The top is the 6 x 5". The bottom 9 x 3 5/8".
I attached 3 pieces of Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper to the outer piece of the box.
(1) 2 3/8 x 3 3/8" for the front.
(2) 1 x 3 3/8" for the sides.
I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue.
I cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock sized 2 x 3" and attached it onto the DSP on the front of the box with Liquid Glue.
I cut a piece of Highland Heather Cardstock sized 1 7/8 x 2 7/8".
I embossed the Highland Heather Cardstock with the Dots Embossing Folder then attached it to on top of the Basic Black Cardstock with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the Dog image from Sweet Little Stockings stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock.
I colored the image with Light and Dark Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends.
I cut the Dog out using the Stockings dies.
I stamped the Witch Hat from Clever Cats stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock with Archival Black Ink.
I colored the buckle with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend.
I fussy cut the Witch Hat out by hand.
I cut a rectangle from Old Olive Cardstock using the Rectangle Stitched dies.
I stamped the sentiment from Cutest Halloween stamp set onto the rectangle with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I attached the rectangle to the bottom of the Highland Heather embossed rectangle with Dimensionals.
I attached the Dog and the Witch Hat next with Dimensionals also.
I tied a small bow with Black and White Gingham Ribbon and attached it to the upper right of the box with a Glue Dot.
I added some Wink of Stella Glitter to the Witch Hat and for the final touch I added 3 Cute Stars Adhesive Backed Sequins around the sentiment.
