Shop Stampin' Up! Here
Hi Friends!
I made a Fun Fold card for my project today. I used Hey Birthday Chick stamp set, Birthday Chick dies, Hydrangea dies, Layering Ovals dies and Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper. You can get 2 of these cards from 1 piece of standard Cardstock.
I started with a piece of Pale Papaya Cardstock sized 4 1/4 x 11".
I scored the 11" side at:
5 1/2".
I cut 3" off on one of the sides and kept it to attach later.
The small flap will now be the FRONT of the card.
I cut some pieces of the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper in sizes:
(2) 2 1/4 x 4" of the flower paper for the front and back of small front flap
(1) 2 3/4 x 4" for the front of the piece we cut off and
(1) 2 1/8 x 2 3/4" for the back of the piece we cut off.
I cut a smooth oval out of Soft Seafoam Cardstock and a scalloped oval from Fresh Freesia Cardstock using the Layering Ovals dies.
I cut a 5 1/4 x 4" piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock for the inside of the card.
I cut the fence from Fresh Freesia Cardstock with the Birthday Chick dies.
I stamped the cupcake chick and party hat chick from Hey Birthday Chick stamp set with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White Cardstock.
I colored the body of the Cupcake Chick and Shell of the Party Hat Chick with a Light Smokey Slate Stampin' Blend.
I colored the hair with Light and Dark Fresh Freesia,
the beaks and feet with Dark Pumpkin Pie,
the cupcake with Light Soft Suede and Light So Saffron,
the candle with Polished Pink and Dark So Saffron and
the party hat with Light Fresh Freesia and Light Polished Pink.
I glued the two ovals together and Cupcake Chick onto the ovals with Liquid Glue.
I attached the Ovals to the piece of the card we cut off with Liquid Glue.
I attached the piece we cut off to the front of the card (as shown in pics) with Dimensionals on the left side only making sure that it is centered in the middle of the card.
I attached the 2 1/8 x 2 3/4" piece of DSP to the inside flap and glued the Party Hat Chick on top of it.
I stamped the inside sentiment in the middle of the inside of the card with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment onto a piece of Fresh Freesia Cardstock and cut it with a label die from the Hydrangea dies.
I attached the label to the front of the card with Mini Dimensionals.
For the final touches I added Wink of Stella Glitter to the cupcake and three 2021-23 In Color Jewels to the upper right side of the card.
