HOPPING BY GIFT BAG TUTORIAL with KANGAROO and COMPANY - Stampin' Up!

Shop Stampin' Up! Here

Hi Friends!
My project today is a little gift bag.  It can be used for Easter or any other Holiday or occasion.  I used the retiring Kangaroo and Company stamp set, Kangaroo dies, Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper and Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  I also used the Layering Circle dies, Strawberry Builder Punch and Banners Pick a Punch.  You can get 2 of these bags out of each piece of 8 1/2 x 11" Cardstock.  The bag measures  2 1/2  x  3 1/2  x  1 1/4".

I started with a piece of Purple Posy Cardstock sized  8  x  4 3/4".
I scored the 8" side at:
1/2,  1 3/4,  4 1/4  and  5 1/2".
I scored the 4 3/4" side at:
1 1/4".
I turned the cardstock back to the 8" side and score to the bottom scoreline ONLY at:
1 1/8  and  4 7/8".
To cut the box you can watch my Video Tutorial here.

I attached a piece of Playing with Patterns DSP to the front and back panels, sized  3 1/4  x  2 1/4", with Liquid Glue.
Before I put the box together I punched a hole in the top of each of the 2 larger panels with a 7/8" (or close) punch.
I put the box together with Tear and Tape.
I put some Hershey's Kisses in the box and ran some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon through the holes and tied a bow at the front.

I cut a Scallop Circle from Crushed Curry Cardstock and a Smooth Circle from Basic White Cardstock using the Layering Circle dies.
I stamped the grass from Kangaroo and Company stamp set onto the Basic White circle.
I stamped the medium sized Kangaroo onto Basic White Cardstock.
I colored the Kangaroo with Stampin' Blends:
Light Crumb Cake for the Belly,
Dark Soft Suede for the shadows,
Light Soft Suede for the rest of the Kangaroo Body and
Light Smokey Slate for the nose.

I glued the Circle on top of the Scallop Circle with Liquid Glue.
I attached the Kangaroo to the Circle with Dimensionals.
I attached the entire piece to the from of the bag with Dimensionals.
I cut two flowers out of Crushed Curry Cardstock using the Strawberry Builder Punch.
I pushed the middle of the flowers down on my Stampin' Pierce mat to make the petals rise up.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Playing with Patterns DSP with Gorgeous Grape Ink.
I cut the ends with the Banners Pick a Punch, punched a small hole in the top and tied it to the top of the bag with White Bakers Twine.
