KANGAROO and COMPANY MOTHER'S DAY GIFT BAG TUTORIAL with PANSY PETALS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER - Stampin' Up!

Hi Friends! I made a project today for Mother's Day coming up next month. It is a Gift Bag I made with Kangaroo and Company stamp set, Kangaroo dies, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper and the Layering Ovals dies. This bag measures 4 3/4 x 3 x 1". This pretty Kangaroo Gift Bag can be used for lots of other occasions too.

I started with a piece of Polished Pink Cardstock sized  9 x 7".

I scored the 9" side at:

1/2,  3 1/2,  4 3/4  and  7 3/4".

I scored the 7" side at:

1 1/4  and  6".

I turned the paper BACK to the 9" side at scored ONLY to the 2nd scoreline at:

 4 1/8  and  8 3/8".

I attached a few pieces of the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to the box in sizes:

(2)  4 1/2  x  2 3/4"

(1)  3/4  x  2 3/4"

I attached them to the front, back and front flap with Liquid Glue.

I punch 2 holes in the center of the front flap with a 1/8" circle punch.

I closed the flap and made pencil marks through the holes onto the body of the bag.

Then I opened the flap and punched 2 holes where the marks were.

I put my gift inside (gift certificate, gift card, jewelry of other small gift) and ran Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon through the holes and tied a bow in the front.

I cut an oval from Soft Seafoam Cardstock and a Scalloped Oval from Soft Succulent Cardstock using the Layering Oval dies (retiring soon).

I attached them together and then to the front of the box, under the flap, with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the large Kangaroo, 1 flower bouquets, 1 extra flower from the flower bouquet and butterfly, from Kangaroo and Company stamp set,  with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White Cardstock.

I colored the images with Stampin' Blends:

 the Kangaroo with Light and Dark Crumb Cake.

I colored the Flowers with Light Polished Pink and Light Fresh Freesia.

I colored the leaves with Light and Dark Soft Succulent.

I colored the butterfly with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight.

I cut the images out with the Kangaroo dies and the extra flower by hand.

I attached the Kangaroo to the Soft Seafoam oval with Dimensionals.

I attached the flower bouquet with Dimensionals on the left side and Liquid Glue on the right.

I attached the butterfly to Oval and the single flower to the Kangaroo's head with Liquid glue.

I cut a small tag from Soft Seafoam Cardstock with a die from the Hydrangea dies.

I stamped the sentiment from Kangaroo and Company on the tag and attached it to the bow with White Baker's Twine.

For the final touches I added 3 of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the tag and Wink of Stella to the bouquet and butterfly.
